Nakamoto 3.0 Activation Checklist

This is a WIP checklist and sequence of events before marking us Mainnet Ready:

Nakamoto Testnet Readiness

• All tasks under Testnet Readiness are done and success criteria met for each task
• Mock Signing ++ is successful on Nakamoto Testnet with Epoch 2.5
• Block for 3.0 activation is picked and updated for Nakamoto Testnet : CANNOT be in the first reward cycle
• 3.0 RC is ready
• Verify that the Block activation Height BITCOIN_TESTNET_STACKS_30_BURN_HEIGHT is accurate and updated here in the develop branch
• Verify that the PEER_NETWORK_EPOCH is set to the correct epoch value here in the develop branch
  • Verify the block-commit marker is correct here
• Start genesis sync with the latest rc
• Ensure that Stacks miners have plenty of BTC (but in a small number of UTXOs)

Pox-4 Testing - Nakamoto Testnet

Clarity 3 - Nakamoto Testnet

Chainstate Migration, Genesis Sync

• Spin up a Public Testnet node from 2.5 chainstate -> 3.0
• Verify that the genesis sync on mainnet is successful with the final release version
• 3.0 Release is ready and tagged

Dress Rehearsal for Mainnet Hard Fork

Infrastructure Readiness
