I need some improvements for working with many tabs and have following ideas:

  1. Possibility to have different tab sizes: Auto Size for each tab, so that it has exactly that size the text needs.
  2. Tab rows: If tabs cannot be fully placed in a row the tabs should be distributed into several rows.
What do you think about that?

If there are many tabs, won't the tabs pretty quickly become so small that they are the same size anyway? Also it might be confusing to use if they are different sizes.

As for more rows, i think a better approach would probably be either an overflow menu like visual studio has for example, or a scrolling tab panel when there are more tabs than can fit, like firefox has.

Just ask if you need any help with whatever approach you go for!

It depends! There are cases when texts have big size differences, where an auto size option for the tab pages would help.

But the idea with the overflow menu sounds very good. Does Chrometabs support this already? It would be nice if there could be such controls between the last displayed tab and the "+" button if this option is set to true.
