Become a sponsor to Erik Berlin
👋 Hi, I’m Erik. I’ve been maintaining open-source libraries in the Ruby ecosystem since shortly after GitHub started in 2008.
Notably, I maintained the Twitter Ruby library for 15 years, which I recently rewrote from scratch and renamed to X. I also wrote the t
command-line interface for Twitter and maintain some core Ruby infrastructure, including MultiJSON and MultiXML. All together, the gems I maintain have over 3 billion downloads.
I also make occasional contributions to the Ruby programming language or Ruby on Rails, when I come across bugs or missing features.
Beyond Ruby, I have an interest in the Crystal programming language, so I maintain Crystal wrappers for the X API and OpenAI API.
The first $100 of sponsorship money each month will help pay for Basic Twitter API access. Any excess funds will allow me to spend more time working on open-source and help support myself and my family.
Thank you for considering sponsoring me! 😊
