I'm the last surviving core maintainer of Django-Tastypie and have kept it compatible with Django since Django version 1.8. I also do bugfixes, community management and shepherd pull requests.

Other projects I'd like to work on if I had more time and incentive:

django-magellan: a personal / corporate search engine, using pluggable search backends (whoosh, elasticsearch) and a plugin-based site spider (to be upgraded to Scrapy pipelines).

wonambi: a fediverse server (a la Mastodon or Pleroma) in early development ( hosted on Gitlab: https://gitlab.com/georgedorn/wonambi )

I have about 15 years of backend development experience and have been developing with Django since version 1.0 was released at DjangoCon 2008.

@georgedorn

This will justify my dedicating several hours a week to developing and maintaining Tastypie and other projects (suggestions welcome), instead of simply devoting a half-dozen hours updating Tastypie whenever Django updates.
