  • As we ran UIUCTF 2023, we ran into an issue where we had set the curve expecting x teams to show up, but 2x teams showed up, rendering many of our challenges worth the same amount of (minimum) points.
  • Add an option to do the dynamic scoring curve (points till bottoming out) as a ratio from the amount of registered teams.

someone could potentially spam fake registrations to influence their score

how could this benefit someone? I understand the concern, but not the actual way it helps them

I guess spamming fake registrations could increase your score, but it would increase it across all challenges.
