I have a Wi-Fire board.
On OS X 10.11.2 (with SIP disabled), running pic32prog -d /dev/tty.usbserial-AD01Q9A8 as root returns

Readme.txt for LiteBSD refers to PRG button, I don't see any reference to this in the documentation for the board.
