E2E Mapping Measurement Section

The E2E Clinically Measured Observations section contains data on any measurements that the provider would have recorded down such as Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, Heart Rate, Body Temperature and Waist Circumference.

General Assumptions

User Assumptions

  • The provider shall enter all Measurement entries into OSCAR under the measurements section of the Encounter page
  • All relevant fields presented will be filled with data if applicable

Data Assumptions

  • We expect Measurement data to be a freetext field which will make sense to a human reader
  • Measurement data will not be entered in other parts of OSCAR

Issues

Issue 1

  • OSCAR records Blood Pressure without separating the Systolic and Diastolic
  • LOINC codes do not exist which describe the two paired together

Options

  • Parse and separate the two values out of freetext and generate distinct entries
  • Keep entry merged but provide a nullFlavor code

Decision
TBD
