And should not be in the hundreds. "Two hundred and fifty" is wrong it should be "two hundred fifty" #562

Expected Behaviour

one thousand, two hundred thirty-four

Actual Behaviour

one thousand, two hundred and thirty-four

it is improper to say and after hundred.

Steps to reproduce

  • convert 1234 to words
  • ...

This is standard in British English (ref, and relatively common in American English. I don't think it's fair to define it as strictly "improper."
