Hi,
I have been using sandboxie for years and I love the energy that the new people have been showing with sandboxie-plus. An immense thank you. I have been donating on patreon since january 2021. This software is simply one of a kind, invaluable really.
Sandboxie has been helping me tremendously in one of my activities, I am making movie videos and it has been very useful to be able to start a few instances of the games at the same time, so I can start recording multiple highlights at the same time.
However for a year or so, it's not as stable as it used to be. Sandboxed steam instances crash frequently. I didn't find out much about it, but my understanding is that the steam service kills steam instances (randomly?) when it notices there are multiple ones.
I read about a workaround; to have an unboxed steam instance running, and run the game instances sandboxed. I can't seem to find a way to achieve that: when I start a sandboxed game and steam is running unboxed, the game behaves like it would if steam wasn't running at all. Either it starts a sandboxed steam in the box, or, if I try forcing the game to start, it crashes in the same way it would if steam wasn't running.
I would be immensely grateful for that
