Over the last few weeks I have been intermittently trying to install sahana production according to these scripts http://eden.sahanafoundation.org/wiki/InstallationGuidelines/Linux/Server on Debian 7 and 8. I find the following issues
(a) With Debian 7 the apache(etc) scripts run but trying to access the eden server as an admin throws an error providing a link which when selected generates another link and so on ad infinitum. Installation of Debian 7 throws some key errors which can be fixed. Wiping the disk and reinstalling Debian 7 and the cherokee script creates the same error
(b) With Debian 8 Installing and configuring the apache etc. script throws no errors, but only runs the apache server. The only way I have been able to start eden is by invoking the web2py.py python script
Installing and configuring the cherokee etc. script works from the get go.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong (probably) but I have been over this many times with the same result. If anyone else has seen these issues, please do let us know
Thanks, Jurij
