Given the amount of images that end up being scored during an average Bayesian Merger run, it is nearly impossible to score every image in 1 sitting effectively. (this is coming from someone who has scored 500 images, with another 500 left to score) There should be a way to pause the merging process at the end of the scoring period such that it would be possible to resume from the same spot without losing all of ones progress.

I see the pain in scoring too many images

pausing the run could be a solution

I'm also thinking about scoring the batch instead of every single image (the scores are averaged anyway). Would this be a welcomed addition?

Scoring a batch in totality feels even harder, because now you are asking for me to look at every single image and come up with a score for the entire thing. It gets away from the idea of your individual images improving, thereby raising the score. It also becomes harder to get a real score from it, as I feel like I would end up fudging the score depending on if I thought it was good or not, and I feel like it would be harder to optimize overall.
Having the ability to pause mid way or continue from a previously aborted run would be great.
