You can make tongue in cheek stupid comment such as: Anyone who is willingly interested in maintaining compiler collection must be crazy and if you are not crazy now, working on GCC will definitely make you go crazy in future. Come on, does this message actually say something meaningful other than - "Thanks folks, you are doing the hard job and I wouldn't be able to do it"? I had no idea silly comments as these could be seen as deeply insulting. Also, autism jokes regarding RMS are not something new, I think even he once described himself as borderline autistic. I never thought that's a bad thing and I always respected how open he was talking about himself. |
