There is no issue with npm but the site stops working after some time, we have to restart the server.

You just need to install "Supervisor" package in your root nodejs folder by this command (root folder)
npm install supervisor -g

(preferably in admin mode)

then open your project in terminal and write the following command:(project folder)
supervisor server.js

it helped me i hope it does to you to :)
