By writing a couple of Askama filters we should be able to cut down on boilerplate in the HTML templates

The Askama Filters library I wrote should be helpful with this https://github.com/rushsteve1/askama_filters

It occurs to me that they don't actually have to be filters since Askama supports a lot of plain Rust code in templates. So that could offer some opportunities.
