updated GDAL i mac-version of qgis anytime soon? #165

@eflaten I think it's worth bringing this question to the QGIS psc, via the psc mailing list ( https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-psc ). The mac builds have been neglected for a long time and a project-wide rethink is necessary. |

If this has not happened yet I can write the email; the latest release has GDAL 3.3.2 (9/2021) and the latest one which is required for several features to work correctly is 3.7.0 (5/2023) |
@dawgermany @eflaten do you know if there is any progress to update the *.dmg GDAL to a more recent version? |

I have found out that problems to write to a FGDB layer with the Lable toolbar is because GDAL is outdated in version 3.30 on macos. The same operation works with windows 3.30 and the same data. example: change font size on a selected feature from FGDB source using the
