the article is about twitter because it replaces /p/twitter from the website. I think that should stay as-is and not be redirected to a section within another article. but all the rest seems good to add somewhere else |
i would also not mention the two subreddits as they're unofficial and generally 'a bit annoying' more than anything else. |
it's fine, just mention that they aren't necessarily all osu content only
honestly if we're just adding bluesky then i think the naming / linking can stay as is. it seems like twitter has reached its expiry date but using the name is still fine IMO.
i don't mind having them mentioned somewhere on the wiki but i don't think they should be under a "social media" page. probably better to have them alongside community discord servers. |
The community can interact with the osu! team (and also peppy) on a lot of websites.
Just this month, an official osu! account was created on Bluesky. There's the osu! YouTube channel for all kinds of osu!-related stuff. On Reddit, there's r/osugame with lots of score posts and discussions about lazer, among other topics.
The wiki has currently only a page dedicated for Twitter accounts. Thus, I would like to add links to the following contact points:
Community/Reddit
as the nature of these two is more about interacting with the community than with the osu! team directly.@peppy Do you mind if I include your personal accounts in this proposed article? Please tell me if yes.
Furthermore, I suggest renaming this article for a more suitable place to
Community/Social media
.Twitter
will essentially become a subheading inSocial media
. While at it, a link to this article could be added underCommunity § Places
.Please tell me if I miss any other popular social media where osu! is operating official accounts from (except Discord which is already placed in its own article).
If this issue gets accepted, I would like to work on implementing it.
