Remember style and theme across sessions and maps #613
Comments
I clicked on "+" to add a theme, changed background and foreground color, gave it a name. Then I clicked on Save in the lower right corner. And expected the theme to be saved and shown next to the two predefined themes. But it is not. However, the theme is used in my current map, persisted with it, restored. But I can not reuse it or select it for a different map because it is not in the list. What's more annoying is that I can not change the current theme after creating it. |
What version of Minder are you using? What is the setting of the Appearance/HideThemesNotMatchingVisualStyle preference value? If that preference option is set, try turning it off. |
@prokoudine The application should be saving the state of style widgets (across maps and applications sessions). I don't think that the theme is being saved though. Can you confirm this to be the case on your end? |
I forgot that the default theme to use for mindmaps is setup through preferences. Whatever theme is selected there will be the theme that is used when a new mindmap is created. |
Um, I'm sorry, I'm confused. Please tell me for I should be checking for after your latest remark :) |
The theme that is used for every new mindmap is controlled by a setting within the preferences window. That value is remembered and used between mindmaps and sessions. Can you confirm that setting the preferences theme to the theme of your choice is used on new mindmaps? |
Currently Minder defaults to a certain style and theme, so if you never use it, there's some tweaking to be done every time you start a new mindmap. Can Minder simply always use last style settings and theme?
