a proposal for a server reset

frog: I would support that but i was informed that erasing YEARS of server history is a bad idea lol

I saw these comments in the lounge and thought they were funny.
Now I see that on GitHub and I'm thinking "are you serious?"
Never gonna happen mate. It is a rediculous idea even.

But I am very curious now about your reasons for opening this issue

Server reset could happen through introduction of new fresh server.

Though if doing that then I'd probably plan some changes too to not make it simply 1:1 copy other than changes made by players.

hm, good idea
I just didn't consider it thoroughly because I consider a new server off-limits for suggestions from experience with another community

I still haven't seen a single constructive argument to why a reset/new server setup would be necessary.

The only way I see a reset being a good thing is if major elements of the game/mods in use were significantly rebalanced / recipes changed. If the core of how things work is going to be rewritten, then resetting makes sense.
