[BUG] Element can't use Windows audio #840
-
Win11 here. RME Interface and VBCable. I got two entries in the preference of Element beside ASIO. Once I selected any device for the Input I get the error "Couldn't open the input device". Yes, and why? Edit:// So now Elements crashes after opening directly.... If its not surprisingly crashing I can immediately bring it to crash if I want to select ASIO as protocol (not any interface but switching to the protocol type asio). Seems that the app is somewhat in beta?! Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: Element.exe, Version: 0.46.6.0, Zeitstempel: 0x6286ccb4 or that: Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: Element.exe, Version: 0.46.6.0, Zeitstempel: 0x6286ccb4 |

Developer... singular. It would be nice to have some contributors or even
be able to hire people. I haven't been able to reproduce non-working
windows audio though yet.
Put simply. How on earth do you get sound out of it?
Connect wherever sound is coming from to an audio output node.

*This screenshot is from 1.0-dev, but you'll have a similar item in the
graph menu as well.*
Is there a speaker output module as shown by a cotactee of mine on Mac?
Yes, if you're pre-1.0 it's called audio input or output node which is
tied to the soundcard's channel count. In 1.0 and onward, it's the same
thing except the channel count is user-specified.
What about an audio module of some sort?
See above.
