How can we query contract state at specific height with proof?

In cosmos based chains we can query the blockchain for data at specific key and height with proof. we were wondering if the same is possible for data stored by contracts as well. If yes , how can we compute storage key for contract specific data? It would be helpful if someone sheds some light on this. Thanks.
