Deprecation of Xcode 13 and 14

Starting June 1, 2024, we will remove the following machines from our platform:

• Apple silicon machines running macOS 12.6 and Xcode 13.x
• Apple silicon machines running macOS 13.3 and Xcode 14.x

We are making these changes to ensure that builds on Codemagic run with the highest level of reliability and security. In addition, Apple requires all apps uploaded to App Store Connect to be built with Xcode 15 starting April 29, 2024.

What action is required from me?

You are affected by this change if you currently use an Xcode version lower than 15 and a Mac mini M1 (mac_mini_m1) or M2 (mac_mini_m2) machine. If you use Linux or Windows machines, please disregard this announcement.

Please review and update your build configurations to use Xcode 15.x. You may need to make additional changes if you use old versions of pre-installed software. See the machine specifications in our documentation.

Brownouts schedule and EOL

• May 28, 2024 – from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC
• May 30, 2024 – from 00:00 to 00:00 UTC (24 hours)
• June 1, 2024 – deprecated machines are removed from the pool and will become unavailable

During the brownouts, all builds using these Xcode versions on Apple silicon machines will fail. Please update your build configurations as soon as possible to prevent any disruption to your builds.
