Introduction: Varakhed Londhe Barrage Medium Project The total length of the earthen dam is proposed to be constructed as 730 metres with a length of 327.60 m, left anusual portion 51.40 m, sandwa (protruding portion) 246.00 m, right anusual portion 105.00 m. It is located at a distance of 1.50 km from the village and is under construction on the Girna river.
A total of 13 curvilinear gates of 15m x 12m size are proposed in the energized section and the main canal is proposed to be lined for a total length of 38.65 km. The project is located 25 km from Chalisgaon and 125 km from Jalgaon. I'm far away.
Out of the total water consumption, 39.628 DLH (1.40 A.H.F.) will be utilized. With this project, a total of 7542 hectares of irrigated area (I.C.A.) covering 6285.58 hectares in 20 villages of Chalisgaon taluka and 1256.42 hectares in 11 villages of Bhadgaon taluka will be irrigated through the Flowing Right Main Canal.

Reference No. 1 to Varakhed Londhe Barrage Medium Project. Based on the 1997-98 tariff of Rs. 75.63 crore (Rs. Reference No. 2 based on 1999-2000 Rate of Rs. 161.85 crore (Rs. One hundred and sixty one crore fifty five lakh only) was granted new original administrative approval due to change in the concept of curvilinear doors. Reference No. 3 Based on the 2003-04 schedule, a sum of Rs. 186.91 crore (Rupees One Hundred Eighty Six Crores One Hundred and Ninety Five Lakh only) was granted as fresh administrative sanction as the alignment of the dam was tilted 400 metres downstream. The project will use 1.40 lakh cubic feet of water. The river flows from Girna to Tapi in Gujarat. Therefore, the proposal for grant of second revised administrative approval for the project was under consideration of the Government for utilization of this water.
The proposal was approved by the Planning and Finance Ministry. The Expenditure Priority Committee while considering the Expenditure Priority Agreements dated 15/02/2018 approved the proposal after considering the reasons for cost escalation, status of the project and urgency for completion of the project.
Government's decision:
With this decision, the Government has now decided to implement the Varkhede Londhe (Barrage) Medium Project in Tapi Valley at a cost of Rs. The Second Revised Project Report for an amount of Rs. 526.64 crore (Rupees Five Hundred Twenty Six Crores Sixty Four Lakh only) is being accorded administrative approval. Of these, Rs. 465.86 crore (Rs. 60.78 crore (Rupees Sixty Crores Eighty Eight Lakhs only) for establishment and other incidental expenses. The amended provisions are also provided in the Annexure.
The Second Revised Administrative Sanction granted to the Scheme has been entered in the Register of Medium Project Operations at serial number 01/2018.
The remaining work of the project should be completed within the stipulated time and within the limits of the revised administrative approval.
The expenditure on the works of this scheme should be covered under the head of Demand No. I-5, 4701 Capital Expenditure on Major and Medium Irrigation Projects, 80- General, 190- Investment in Public Sector and Other Enterprises (02) Schemes, (02) (04) Share Capital Contribution to Tapi Irrigation Development Corporation (4701-H763) and from the grants sanctioned under it.
The Second Revised Administrative Sanction is granted subject to the following conditions:
5.1 The said revised administrative approval means that the approval cannot be taken for irregularities at various stages of project implementation.
5.2 Proceedings of the ongoing or proposed departmental inquiry into the project should be continued. The decision to grant the second revised administrative sanction will not hamper the proceedings of the departmental inquiry.

5.3 New elements that create financial liabilities should not be included in the project without government approval.
5.4 The work of tenders in progress should be completed on priority. The remaining works should be prioritized and works/ tenders should be processed accordingly so that the water storage is maximized for irrigation.
5.5 The project should be completed by June 2021.
(6) The said Government Decision, Non-official Reference No. 90/ KA. 1434 A.D. 01/04/2017, Informal Reference No. 241/2017/ Expenditure 12, Dy. 23/10/2017 and D. As per the opinion of the Expenditure Priority Committee in its meeting held on 15/02/2018, the Finance Department has decided to provide Rs. (7) The decision of the Government shall be effective from the date of issue.
