Government Decision- As per the Government Decision, dated 8th July, 2019, the rate of Dearness Allowance admissible to State Government employees and other eligible employees will be Rs. It has been revised from 9% to 12% with effect from January 1, 2019. The increase in Dearness Allowance has been decided to be paid in cash from 1st July, 2019. It has also been decided to issue separate orders regarding allowable arrears as per this amendment.
2. The Government is now issuing orders that State Government employees and other eligible employees should be paid Rs. from January 1, 2019. The arrears of 3% Dearness Allowance increase for the period of 6 months up to 30th June, 2019 should be paid in cash along with the salary for the month of January, 2021.
The existing provisions and procedures relating to the payment of Dearness Allowance shall continue to apply as it is.
4. The expenditure thereon shall be met from the grants sanctioned under the head of accounts under which the salaries and allowances of the Government servants concerned are spent.
In the case of aided institutions and ZP employees, the expenditure should be covered under the sub-heading of the respective head of accounts under which the expenditure on their ancillary grants is covered.
