I'd like to experiment with using GitHub discussions - and see if they leave us with different impressions / use cases compared to Issues and/or Slack.
So, my question for today: Are there Slack norms you use, or that you would like to propose?
Example proposal: Sometimes there are conversations that would take LOTS of writing to resolve, but might be a 3 minute chat, or maybe would be delivered more kindly in an in-person chat. Maybe we could use 🚰 to indicate that the conversations would be easier continued in a SINK-ronous manner? (pun on Synchronous).
It's actually :potable-water: in github.
Emoji I'm aware we do use:
➕, 💯, 🎯, and 👆 to agree with something.
🙏, 🙌, 🎉 and various custom slackmojis for celebration, well done.
👀 for "I've seen this and am interested".
Tagging @open-life-science/ols-staff-and-contractors for comment on ones we use, proposals for new ones, and awareness of the SINK proposal ;)
