Version (please complete the following information):

  • OS: MACOS 15
  • Browser Chrome
  • Web Clipper version: 0.9.5
  • Obsidian version: 1.7.5

Describe the bug

If a highlight already exists and I create a new highlight over it. the highlight is displayed correctly in the browser, but it is not saved in obsidian. the highlight is then missing.

Expected behavior

It saves the highlight as shown in the browser

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a highlight.
  2. start the selection before the highlight, move over the existing highlight beyond the end and then release the mouse button to enlarge the highlight
  3. Save the highlight to obsidian.
  4. Check the saved highlight in Obsidian. (Should not be present)
