Description

@courville Preferred audio track was implemented in nova-video-player/aos-Video@0f6d81f and that has been very useful to all of your users but I believe another option needs to be added: "always play default audio track regardless of preferred audio track" which will for example: help English viewers who prefer the original foreign audio with English subs always get the default foreign audio track for foreign media.

Use case: Squid Game is very popular right now and it may come with dual or even multiple audio tracks, but the default track is always Korean since it is the original audio of the series. My preferred audio language is English so Nova will always pick the English dub audio over the default Korean audio with every new episode, forcing me to change the audio track with every new episode. This is annoying with pretty much every foreign TV series or movie if you prefer the original audio over the English dub.

Therefore, an additional option is needed for people like me who always want the original foreign audio with English subs instead of having to change the audio track on every episode. A checkbox to always pick the "default" audio track in mkv files regardless of preferred audio language will take care of viewers who watch foreign media in the original foreign language with English subtitles.

Any chance you can implement this?
