Problem description

If you put (date) prefix before the title in filename, no poster can be found.
I do that in cases when I have folder with collection where release order is important.
In that case I put release date as prefix, not suffix (as typically) - and thanks to that I can order files by release dates.

Steps to reproduce the issue

You name your video files adding prefix in normal brackets "(" ")" before the title.
Scraping files named this way won't match the title within internet database and no poster will be found.

Expected behavior

prefixes should be omitted and title should be filtered off.

Hi, nova does already some preprocessing but not matching your creativity yet cf. https://github.com/nova-video-player/aos-MediaLib/blob/v6.3/src/com/archos/mediascraper/preprocess/MovieDefaultMatcher.java
Could you please let me know if your files are always in the form of "(year) movie name.mkv" ?
