I vote No on this. I pair with many people who don’t know VIM. I tell them “Just press i”, and they are back to what they know. |
@shirshov: Vim supports mouse selections :) |
I definitely vote Yes. In all other of the Vim implementations I use (VsVim, MonoDevelop Vi Mode, vim itself...), I will frequently select something with my mouse, and then hit X to delete the selection and pull it into the clipboard. In XSVim, when I select something with my mouse and then hit X, it only deletes and pulls the one character under the cursor. |
@ssameng I'll take another look at this. I almost had it working. |
Thanks for taking a look--wondering what the status is on this? I look through the release notes every time XSVim is updated to check if this is fixed :P |
@ssameng I'll try and get to it soon.. I don't think it's much work. It's just that other things have priority right now such as VSMac 8.1 support... and then support for the new editor. ..... and I get precious little spare time to work on this :) |
As right now, it's a little confusing if you make a selection outside of XSVim and things don't work.
