I'm really sorry I'm such a noob...

I can't find the /build directory mentioned in the How to Install section?

Try downloading the latest release from https://github.com/nompute/GMailinator/releases, drop it in ~/Library/Mail/Bundles (create the Bundles folder if it doesn't already exist) and run defaults write com.apple.mail EnableBundles -bool true

As I suspected, I was an idiot. Following your instructions worked perfectly….

EXCEPT that I’m running Apple Mail 8.1 and it says your plugin is incompatible… this is the beta update of Yosemite

Sure thing!

That is strange, but I would imagine there may be an update when 8.1 is generally available (I'm afraid I'm not running the beta so I can't be of much help there).
