This is an interesting bug but unfortunately 1) this needs to be an issue, not a discussion, and 2) this report is missing key information:

• Which model are you trying to use? Ideally you could provide both a download link (e.g. HuggingFace) and the output of Get-FileHash mymodel.gguf -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell.
• Does this happen during model loading or generation?
• Is this with the python bindings or the GUI? I'm assuming this is the python bindings.
• Which version of GPT4All is this? (pip show gpt4all)
• What is your device set to?
