One of our biggest headaches with freight ends up being tons of /tmp files and lots of bundles that don't get persisted across re-deploys (depending on the deploy, etc). This could be a good way, and if you really wanted to get crazy, you could put a CDN in front of your bundle server for faster coffee-shop npm installs.
