I wrote it last night to replace an old HTTP client in a project. I want a really simple client with the following features:

  • Synchronous API
  • Automatically follow redirects
  • Various timeout settings
  • Some other convenience related features (deflate gzip, parse URLs, basic auth etc)

Also planning on adding convenience functions like post_form/2,3 that automatically formencodes data (and post_json/2,3, post_multipart/3,4 etc).

Evaluating it in the project right now. Will tidy it up a little if I'm happy with the results.
