Games like Star Realms allow the user to click their own draw pile to view its contents without showing the actual order of the contents.

It's great that the actual draw pile can be accessed for debugging a glitched game, but can a non-maintenance mode option be added for quality of life, which simply allows a user to see what's remaining in deck, without the need to reveal hidden information to the user?

I kind of don't want this. I feel like reasoning about your deck helps you build good play habits and skills in the long run (and it's also not comparable to what you would do in in-person play).

I'm not sure I understand; what would seeing the remains of your deck take away from reasoning about it? Getting a sort still leaves all odds and game choice up to the user, and the alternative just leaves them to subtracting their hand and discard from their decklist — since their opponents have none of their cards, there's not even any grey area to account for.

The visual stepping stone would be great for anyone not yet particularly familiar with their deck, learning more about what's upcoming in-game in their downtime. This ranges from newbies with system gateway decks or anyone nabbing randos for pickup games, particularly folks with search capable cards.

I would like to vote in favor of this feature. It could be disabled by default and require a toggle for enabling. One of the selling points of jnet is helping folks get rounds with their decks, and build mastery over their cards at a faster pace than paper games.

Folks could simply not use the feature if they want to make it harder on themselves, but why deny it to those who would enjoy it when it doesnt amount to cheating.
