Here is a list of potential items we might want to assign to new engineer joining our team.

Simple / good first issue - learning processes, tools, a bit of layering:

• ODSP driver: TreesLatest telemetry cleanup #9181
• Track op roundtrip time without any impact from runtime side #8911
• Possible lint/uniformity issue with trailing commas. #6070
• Fluid-fetch tool does not handle errors correctly #5284
• Get rid of commits in runtime code #4691
• We have two implementations of GarbageCollector class for an in-memory cache #4500
• Combine duplicate implementations of toInstrumentedOdspTokenFetcher #9248

Areas that require deeper understanding, but at the same time are relatively scoped in terms of number of concepts / layers to understand:

• Experiment with long polling in ODSP driver #7964
• Add cancelation tokens to read/write blob APIs #5192
• Blob aggregation: It would be great to design a solution where blob aggregation can support incremental summaries. Right now it's all or nothing, i.e. we disable incremental summaries for data stores to ensure that whole thing gets resubmitted and repacked.

Items that touch many areas:
