BIPM rapport 2018-02 includes text in color and shaded table cells. That would have been ignored if the text didn't refer to some color which was used.
In case of the colored text, I used stem syntax for coloring, e.g. stem:[color(red)("some text")], which is some kind of a solution for this part...
However, I didn't manage to find an appropriate markup solution for the shading cells issue.

We have made a point of ignoring colour shading in tables, as our approach has been to emphasise semantics in Metanorma. We do not support this, and we have good reasons for not supporting this.
I will not be implementing this without an explicit requirement from BIPM, and a clear indication that this kind of formatting will be ongoing.
