cannot open Wingie Tools.pd in Pd

I tried opening Wingie Tools.pd in Pd, and there are many errors-so much that the patch won't even visibly show.

The errors are:

I suspect it could be something simple such as a char that is incompatible. I am on MacOS Ventura.
