Hi,

I have some issues with the new dialogs:

• one of them is the fact that the new dialogs are modal, but there's already an issue for it (Popups are now way too intrusive, they block the rest of the screen and make it unresponsive #12636).
• the main problem here is the fact that I cannot use correctly the input dialog, like to unlock the keyring. I'm using the german keyboard and is works somehow differently on this dialog. My password contains the letters á and é, but I cannot input them. An a and e will be shown and the accent (in this case acute) will not be shown. I have to input my password outside the dialog, copy it and paste it inside the dialog. This is my currently workaround. I can however type ä, ö and ü if I use the direct button for them, however I use the other way around (ALT-GR+Ü plus the requested letter) won't work either. I cannot make any video of it because the Onboard won't show what I'm pressing in the dialog.

I've made no changes in the keyboard layout settings:

Steps to reproduce

1. Change your password to something with an á or é or ó. Like P@sswórd for e.g.
2. Force the input dialog to pop up (like look for an update or something like that)
3. Try to type the word
4. Nothing happens if you press the key. Not even an accent like ´ (usually shows up after it was pressed two times).

Expected behavior

Password to be typed as before.
