Program guide not being generated #934

The guide you followed only explains how to configure and M3U file. Did you configure an xmltv file to populate the guide information? |
It points me to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/acidjesuz/EPGTalk/master/guide.xml I tried that, and US_guide.xml.gz as both remote and local. Its repo https://github.com/acidjesuz/EPGTalk basically says the same thing... point at that file, it just works. So I'm lost. |
So... is there a step I'm missing? Or, if it's supposed to "just work", what can I do to provide useful information to figure this out? |
From looking at your log there are ~2000 channels loaded with a mere 62 channel EPGs loaded (with less than 2k EPG entries). Looks to me like the EPG is unsuitable for the channels, but no fault in the addon. I'd recommended finding a reliable provider who supplies both the M3U and the EPG. Here is the snippet from your log: |
This is not a bug, so not really a github issue I'm afraid. |
I used https://kodibeginner.com/set-up-iptv-kodi/ to try to set up two different Kodis (one 20.5 nstalled from Ubuntu 24.04, one 21.1 installed on a Fire Cube). On both, the channels appear, but the guide stays empty.
Log file was too big for log uploader, so here it is:
