  • summarise the differences between old kernel + old depmod vs old kernel + new depmod
    • are we missing any dependencies et al
  • can we promote the fallback path in get_symbols as primary one
    • check both old and new kernels

Recent changes caused differences/regressions - see #214. With that addressed, the generated files are stable.

Still need to investigate if we can promote the fallback path as the default and need to ensure things don't break in the future - aka #213
