Every time I boot my MacBook I get a warning that KBFS could not be initialized. It started when I upgraded to MacOS Ventura.

Well yes, but it's still not fixed so I thought I'd open another issue so it gets notices.

Flooding the issue tracker is not the best way to get it noticed, as per nettiquete.

"We were unable to load KBFS (Fuse kext). This may be due to a limitation in MacOS where there aren't any device slots available. Device slots can be taken up by apps such as VMWare, VirtualBox, anti-virus programs, VPN programs and Intel HAXM."

Best is to "vote" on an issue. But to be honest: as that is from June I fear it may take some time. I, for one, will abandon Keybase because it is taking too long and it is also not the first time this problem popup after a MacOS update. Since Keybase is owned by Zoom support is going down hill it seem like. Too bad...

Looks like Max just fixed it today and the next release will work: https://github.com/keybase/client/commits

You might want to give the nightly build a try to see if the next release indeed fixes this for you:
