FlexRouter 2.2.3 multi-script is unresponsive in Kontakt 8? Tested it from previous Kontakt multis on Kontakt 8 VST3 and AU. Still works great on Kontakt 7.10.7 on yesterdays update and of course Kontakt 6. We use FlexRouter on many, many instances throughout the templates. Could this be a Kontakt 8 bug or a change in the scripting engine? Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMs3kt4m398

I haven't bought Kontakt 8 yet (was hoping for a Black Friday discount but it didn't happen :)) so unfortunately can't test or confirm it here.

This actually seems like something that should be reported to Native Instruments, as I'm not aware of any breaking changes introduced in Kontakt 8, so backward compatibility is supposed to be available.

Does this only happen with presets (nkp files) saved with Kontakt 7 and loaded with Kontakt 8, or do you also have problems if you paste the script back in and recompile it using Kontakt 8?

Thank you Jason for your reply, I really appreciate it.

I tried both, Kontakt multis saved from K6 and K7 as well as from scratch - After it didn't respond from the converted Kontakt 7 projects I did a copy and paste of then script and setup a simple test with the same result. (VST3 and AU). Didn't test the stand alone app. Tested on the local machine and VEP server.

We just converted everything from Kontakt 6 to 7 not too long ago now that things are loading pretty quick again in 7 so we're set for a while but it's nuts in how many instances we have this script in. Even the long/short strings are processed with it.

This seems to be directly related to VEP 7 - let me do some more testing before I waste anyones time.

Finally I have somewhat of a test result, not really VEP specific. The only Multi with the script still working in Kontakt 8 was Cinematic Strings which was pretty much the only one where everything is setup in CC30 - Every other Multi was setup in CC32 across the board. That no longer works. I switched the Pacific Brass to CC30 for testing and and at least this Pacific Brass script works again. Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 Crashed several times testing (when typing in CC numbers) which is very unusual here. I'm not sure if any of this is helpful at all but I'm assuming this is simply a Kontakt 8 bug. We'll keep using our Kontakt 7 setup for now which has been pretty solid with FlexRouter (Originally setup everything in K6) There is other buggy stuff in K8 for sure - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtSq7_gnpEw

Thank you again for your reply. We'd all be crazy old men without this script!
