Hi,

I'm running collected-5.0.3 on a Mac OS X 10.7 machine, with your graphite plugin. In general it works, but I notice this wierd problem with extraneous underscores and some of the plugin's produce whisper files named (null).wsp with no data.

Like:

  • df_
    • root_
      • df_complex_-free_
        • (null)

Any ideas on this one?

Also note that the df plugin appears to be working correctly. If I use the csv plugin to also write the data to disk, I can clearly see the data there. So the (null) appears to be coming from the write_graphite plugin.

I need to merge additional changes that Florian made to the plugin. He has been working to include the plugin in the collectd project and I have not yet merged the full set of changes from the https://github.com/octo/collectd/tree/ss/graphite branch. I will merge them as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I tagged the last stable code from write_graphite as 0.1.0. That should resolve the problem, but you won't have Florian's updates. Alternatively, you can wait until I merge the updates and tag a new version. I'll update this issue when that happens.

Just to followup: I installed your tagged 0.1.0, and it got rid of the (null) issues. Can you provide any information about Florian's updates?

Thanks again.
