[regression] 0.6.25 plays one song then skips songs until screen is awakened

After upgrading to version 0.6.25 I can play a song but after my screen turns off or locks Finamp will stop playing songs and I see on the lock screen that it is trying to play the next song but skips it and continues to the next song. This behavior repeats until I wake up the screen. After the screen wakes up Finamp starts to play the song it was last trying to play.

After uninstalling 0.6.25 and re-installing 0.6.23 I no longer see this behavior.

Seeing the same issue on latest GrapheneOS with 0.6.25. Looks like something cannot resolve the hostname anymore?

Same issue. The background activity fails to send any network request including DNS queries, as if the network is down. Also for me the background player doesn't show up at all and sometimes the playback simply just pauses until I open the player back, despite I have notification permission granted to Finamp. I wonder if it's related.
