I would love to have this as well. The only reason I use Plex is their mobile audiobook support.

I'll put a $30 bounty on this. It would also be nice if we could pick a specific folder to download the books for offline

I don't want to take money for developing Finamp, I'll think about working on it once I've completed some of the more foundational changes that I'm working on now (see #213)

@jmshrv Don't think of it as taking money but merely a thanks from one human to another, one dev to another. You've allowed me to enjoy my music library on the go without burning through my mobile data limits. I'd buy you beer and shake hands bjt well idk where you live and we'll probably never meet (unless youre in amsterdam that is). So the next best thing is donating a few euros and letting you buy the beer yourself :)

Great app btw, you're single handidly making Jellyfin into a better platform 👍

For what it's worth, audiobooks are very important to me and in my experience with Plex and Jellyfin, too much change to the underlying library structure is needed to really support audiobooks.

For me, the perfect solution presented itself in the form of Audiobookshelf. It was built from the ground up as a book library. It started with audiobooks and expanded into ebooks and even comics (very early). It tracks reading stats and I'm surprised at how many hours I put into audiobooks last year.

The only feature keeping my coworker from using it is the lack of carplay integration. It already has good Android Auto integration.
