Feature request: Show reference footage in the background

I am trying to recreate some juggling tricks from videos in juggling lab.

For example I'm making this:

It would be so much easier to make this if I could have the reference footage in the background of Juggling Lab animation, so that I can view them on top of each other. I would be able to import the video as an mp4 or as a gif. Maybe add controls to position and scale the video.

This feature would allow me to set the timings and the hand positions perfectly with much less effort!
