Hi,

I was wondering if adding theory behind the biochemistry basics is within the scope of this tutorial?

What are you thinking with regard to theory? If it's directly relevant to the understanding of proteomics then it would make sense. For example peptide bonds and bond energies to explain fragmentation patterns.

I was thinking that and like explaining what SDS phage gel does unless that's a bit too basic

SDS page is a key Proteomic technology if you think about proteomics broadly, so I think that would be useful.
