Just saw the announcement for the UWP/Xbox app, so I grabbed it. The version the Xbox shows is 0.8.0.70.

After logging in, I selected a show and started to play it. I attempted to select the Pause icon, but nothing occurred. I can fast-forward and rewind without issue. I've tried this on multiple different media files, and the issue persists. I also reinstalled the Jellyfin app, and rebooted the Xbox. No dice.

I think someone on Reddit said you might have to use the d-pad? We'll have to look into it.

Just tested it again, yeah, the D pad or the analog stick works to navigate between Previous Episode, Rewind, Pause, Fast-forward, Next Episode, CC, Settings, and Full Screen. However, when pressing the A button, those actions will take place, except for pause, if that makes sense.

I have the exact same issue, the pause button does nothing. I think this should be priority, ability to pause is major function for media app.

I also experience this issue. However, I have found a temporary fix to allow you to pause. With the play/pause button highlighted, quickly push dpad down and then A, and the video will pause. For a short time (like 3 seconds), you will be able to play and pause until the menu fades away (doesn't seem to recognize the button press correctly). Just thought I'd share my little discovery.

Edit: alternatively, you can hold the analogue stick/dpad in the down position and the menu will not fade and you can play/pause as much as you like.
