Downloadable Subtitles Like Plex in Jellyfin TV App

Hi just a feature request if possible to add a feature to download subtitles like plex app allows from open subtitles

For now I'd suggest adding the subtitles manually to your library. I remember a feature similar to this one was added to jellyfin-web for 10.7 but I'm not sure how that works. If it adds an API we could use, this feature can be added at some point (although not soon).

This is definitely planned. With Jellyfin 10.9 we have a new "manage subtitles" permission that you can add to a user. With that you can search & save subtitles per item. A similar feature is available for the new lyric support.

The plan is to support both in the app, but it depends on some other things like our new playback code (#1057). I've added it to the roadmap though!
