The app should probably have a setting somewhere that turns the video wallpaper off if the device has UPower installed and its currently in power saver mode, leaving the user with the static blurred background seen in the Overview by default instead. I mean, having an mp4 file running in the background does eat quite some CPU, its generally up to 1% on my silly little thinkpad. Which is not that big of a deal on most systems, but some Android live wallpapers have that, and my laptop's battery live is ages worse than a regular Android device, so why not?
