Due to Microsoft's failure to continue supporting older versions of .NET Framework with newer versions of Windows and Visual Studio, it may become necessary to upgrade to .NET (formerly known as ".NET Core"). (Note that MIDIopsy has already been upgraded to .NET Framework 4.0 as of commit 2e1c70a.) This would have the added benefit of making MIDIopsy cross-platform.
